Making a living on Kindness Alone.

What pays the bills? Is it money or is it a transaction of kindness?

Bare with me here! I know what your thinking, the gas company are not going to accept a hug as a a form of payment!

I'm currently watching The Kindness Diaries on Netflix, it's making me think how much my career has taken me just from the kindness of strangers, but what is a stranger? Most of the friends you have today started as strangers, so not only you gain kindness but new friendship, its a win-win!

The kindness diary is really is worth a watch, he does prove a point that kindness is so important in our lives and without it the world wouldn't be the same.

Its easy to do something kind for family or a loved one, because actually we do get that back in some form or another, but it's the kindness to strangers that is an incredible thing to do, it sits in the same category as unconditional love.

What goes around comes around!

Kindness has more impact than money.

Random acts of kindness that you can do:

  1.  Pay it forward - some coffee shops offer this, buying a stranger a coffee, a stranger that can't even say thank you because you would of already left the shop.
  2. Buy from a small business - we are all guilty of buying from the giant of Amazon, buying from a small business supports someones dream as well as their family!
  3.   Talk to someone - If you ever need to get a different perspective, find someone that can inspire you, go to a care home, speak to a the homeless man or find someone looking for a friend.
  4. Volunteer -  My personal favourite, as a beaver leader, putting back into the community gives you a massive sense of contribution, not only that but inspiring the next generation.
  5. Inspire - Easiest way to share kindness to a thousand people is to be kind to just 1 person, they will pass your kindness on and on and on.

Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.

If you build it, they will come.

I had this massive drive to write this blog; the quote is adapted from the 1989 movie Field of Dreams.

Every single industry has changed because of the internet, its power and possibilities are endless. Suddenly you have a worldwide company that can not only reach out to billions, but they can access incredible content on their time rather than yours.

So many times I have been asked how do I advertise? The truth. I hardly ever advertise, business and opportunities feel like they just happen, it's not just luck or magic its more like art, Life sould be your masterpiece, make it astounding.

They will come if you build it, build it big enough, strong enough and make sure you position yourself as a leader in your industry, find out what "making it" means to you.

I look for assets in the business; these are your golden willie wonker bars! These bad boys are what only make you look good but speak louder than words.

What is an asset?
-A photo of you performing in front of a large audience.
-A Guinness World Record.
-Winning competitions.
-Releasing a book, then becoming a recognised author.
-Working with a top recognisable client or corporation.

These are just a few of my ideas of assets, but what are yours?
Your assets are your trough cabinet; they are the one thing that will make you stand out. When you have a client where money isn't an issue, your assets will seal that deal where no one else can.

However, the build it and they will come is not a one time action, it's an ongoing thing, but build it, don't just sit there, take massive action, now.

Some people just don't know when to stop, they strive so much that they end of achieving very little accept wasting time. It's all very good but what does it matter anyway if your not truly free?

My time is mine and so is yoyes, but why do give it away without considering the effect it has. Where could you be if you wasn't at work? Or chasing money and paying bills.

The biggest difference is what we do with our time, we could blame others or our situation but that gets us no where, it just reinforces why we are not taking action.

You will never have enough time in life, so only focus on the stuff that makes a difference.

Once we get more freedom our minds and our possibilities open up, how can you find your passion if you are not experimenting?

We have to go back to go forward sometimes, we get caught up with all these shiny objects when what actually matters is what's inside, our true gift. It can never be bought and that's what makes us special to the  world, that's what makes us irreplaceable.

Freedom dosn't have to be travelling, it dosn't have to be quitting, simple things by getting rid of the stuff that we really don't need.

The fancy expensive cars, the big house, the Sky TV the gym membership we don't use, downsizing and life editing can suddenly open doors, open your mind to new possibilities, nothing truly matters in life except how we spend our time, it's our only commodity.

Get rid of the things you don't need to make space for the Things we want.  Set yourself free.

Embrase the failure.

the thing that we are most scared of it the biggest factor of our success, Failure, you don't have a great idea or company these things take time, but during that time you need push on relentless.

We all want to be at the top because it looks easy, well success and failure are felt with in the same way. If you can't handle failure then you are not ready for success!

It's not about getting it perfect first time, its about doing it first then perfecting it.

Perfection is something that comes over time, you can only perfect if your actually living it and doing time.

we focus so much on not failing usually we do anyway. What if your focus was on not nailing first tim and failing it anyway. That's how twitter was created and snap chat too! Both these apps came from a previous app that failed!

So try then fail accept and move on!
